15 species + 1 not counted

Hybrids, unidentified birds (“sp.”, either/or), domestic types and escaped cage birds are listed but don't count as species, as on eBird.

29 rarity points

753

Rarest: Black-capped Vireo, uncommon in Travis County

What do the circles and points mean?

How rare a species is in Travis County: the share of active local birders who log it in a typical year.

Rarity points add up each species once, so a few rare birds can outscore a long list of common ones.

Rarity is over the whole year: a migrant that's easy to find for a week or two can still be rare.
