Species are distinct species across all of a birder's county checklists, counted as eBird does: subspecies roll up to their species, and hybrids, “sp.” and domestic types don't count. The percentage beside each total is the share of all 111 species anyone reported in the county in this period. Rarity points score each species once by how rare it is in Travis County over a typical year: 1 for common, doubling to 16 for very rare; the number in brackets is where that places them (the species page shows each bird's rarity). Recent sightings eBird hasn't reviewed yet count until they're removed. Ties share a rank; checklists break the order. Anonymous eBirders aren't ranked: eBird gives no way to tell them apart. Why these numbers can differ from eBird's Top 100

eBird's Top 100 counts complete checklists only. Checklists here count every checklist, complete or not (the Checklists total says how many were complete).
New checklists load every 30 minutes. Lists uploaded later are picked up by a nightly re-check of the past 7 days; anything uploaded more than a week after the day it was birded is missed.
Checklists from before Sep 17 come from the eBird Basic Dataset, which the site refreshes every few months, so lists added or edited for those dates since then show up later.
Sensitive species and other records eBird keeps out of its public data count on eBird but can't be counted here.
Birds saved only in Merlin don't count anywhere until they're submitted to eBird as a checklist.
