I've never seen as many ardeids at circle acres as I've seen today. I probably made about 50 checklists here. The course of 2 to 3 years and there has never been this kind of siege. The wetlands are retreating heavily and there's just a little bit left and I think the birds are finding a lot of nutrients in these Waters. I can't tell what they're eating, but my guess is tadpoles.
